
National Archaeology Week 2022
Celebrating our collaborative, committed and curious archaeologists.
During this year’s National Archaeology Week, our archaeologists are excited to be returning to in-person events and exhibitions to share their passion for archaeology with the community and future generation of archaeologists.
- Meet GML archaeologists Dr Kat McRae and Talei Holm at the University of Wollongong to learn what its like to be a Consultant Archaeologist on 18 May.
- Meet GML Principal and archaeologist, Abi Cryerhall at the Professional Archaeology Forum at Macquarie University on 19 May.
- Visit ‘A Journey through Time’ exhibition at Parramatta, showcasing a range of artefacts recovered by GML along the route of the Parramatta Light Rail.
- Check out the new publication Kaurna Stone Artefacts, developed with the Kaurna People and Dr Tim Owen.
- Get to know our team at the National Archaeology Week website, including Dr Nadia Iacono, Sophie Jennings, Leah Tepper, Adam Pietrzak, Abi Cryerhall, Elise Jakeman, Caitlin Harvey and Leah Hunt.
Our archaeologists are also attending the Sydney Historical Archaeologists Practitioners Workshop and getting involved with events run by the Australasian Society for Historical Archaeology in Victoria and NSW.
