Declan Coman

Declan Coman is a qualified archaeologist with six years of experience working in Greater Sydney and regional NSW.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology and Philosophy from the Australian National University.

Declan is an established heritage practitioner proficient in Aboriginal archaeological investigation and consultation, historical archaeological excavation and monitoring, and the use of GIS for archaeological analysis, predictive modelling and reporting.

Declan has directed multiple archaeological excavations, seeing them through from the initial due diligence stage to extensive investigations and permit applications. His technical skill set includes Aboriginal archaeological surveying, artefact identification and cataloguing, site recording and landform assessments. He is also proficient in site planning and mapping and preparing permit applications and compliance documentation.
