Shikha Swaroop
Senior Heritage Consultant

Shikha Swaroop is a senior heritage consultant with over four years’ experience.

She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from BMS School of Architecture in Bangalore, India, and a Master of Urbanism (Heritage Conservation) from the University of Sydney.

Shikha is experienced in providing heritage design advice to a range of public and private sector clients. She has prepared heritage impact statements, schedules of conservation works and archival recordings for public and commercial buildings, private homes and monuments around the Greater Sydney area. Her experience also includes project-managing cases in the Land and Environment Court of New South Wales, preparing and lodging development applications, and undertaking heritage approvals. She is well versed in local and state legislation.

Prior to joining GML, Shikha worked in various heritage consultancies and as a casual tutor in urban design and heritage conservation at the University of Sydney.

Shikha has a keen interest in architectural and conservation theory, fabric conservation and the integration of new design into a heritage setting. She also has skills in preparing architectural drawings and using AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
