Heritage on the Edge: Continuity with Change In Canberra

The ACT Region Heritage Symposium is on this Saturday 18 August 2018. The annual event is convened by Australian ICOMOS, Canberra Archaeological Society, Canberra & District Historical Society and National Trust of Australia (ACT).

The theme for this year’s Symposium is ‘Heritage on the Edge: Continuity with Change in Canberra’. It will focus on Canberra’s modernist architecture, a style widely used in Canberra for public buildings and private housing in the mid-20th century. In the context of rapid change in Canberra, the event will explore how the city’s modernist landscape can be identified, protected and valued.

GML Heritage is proud to be sponsoring the event and to be involved in the organising committee.

Attendees will be immersed in a day of talks, tours and discussion, exploring Canberra’s modernist spaces, places and ideals. Details are:
