About the opportunity
GML is seeking an Accounts Officer (Accounts Receivable + more) in our Sydney office. Join our dynamic finance team and play a key role in supporting our company’s financial operations.
What you’ll do
- Manage all aspects of accounts receivable: invoicing, payment claims, reconciliations, debtor management, and AR reporting.
- Liaise with consulting teams to ensure timely and accurate client billing.
- Proactively manage debtor accounts to support positive cash flow.
- Support payroll, accounts payable, expense management, and financial reporting processes.
- Maintain and update records in ERP (NetSuite) and document management systems (SharePoint).
- Contribute to finance system improvements and participate in internal audits and compliance activities.
- Provide relief and support to operations and proposals teams as needed.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce or finance.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a professional services environment (consulting preferred).
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP) and experience with BI tools and financial reporting systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
