Albury Library Museum holds an interesting heritage collection of almost 300 objects that relate to Uiver.

The Uiver completed the London to Melbourne MacRobertson International Centenary Air Race of 1934 in quite remarkable conditions; the Albury community banded together in support of the Uiver’s emergency landing at Albury while the world watched on. The Uiver story today holds a special place in the hearts of many people in both Albury and further afield.

The Collection was found to hold historical, associative, aesthetic, social, research, rarity and representative heritage significance to the state of NSW when assessed against the Heritage Council of NSW’s Criteria for Listing on the State Heritage Register. While the Collection was found to hold historical, aesthetic, research and social significance to a National level according to the Collections Council of Australia’s Significance 2.0 A Guide to Assessing the Significance of Collections. Based on these findings, the Albury City Council nominated the Uiver Collection to the State Heritage Register for NSW for consideration.
