‘Priceless’: GML Partners with UNSW to Support Next Generation of Professionals

GML is committed to supporting the next generation of professionalsWe are pleased to be a UNSW industry partner in the Work Integrated Learning pilot programme

The programme provides students with ‘real world’ industry experience, better equipping them to enter the workforce upon graduation. Students gain insight into contemporary industry issues, and reinforce their skills in collaboration, critical thinking and communication.

Together with UNSW we have formulated a real world project and will be offering advice and guidance to students during the pilot. Boldly we suggested that heritage might be considered ‘priceless’. Over 10 weeks, students will investigate how we might better evaluate and quantify the contribution of heritage places to society beyond their monetary value.  They are busy exploring forms of ‘capital’ linked to heritage including cultural values, liveability, sustainable development and green growth.

GML CEO Sharon Veale and GML Senior Associate, Claire Nunez, will guide the  project. At the conclusion of the programs we will receive a formal presentation about the findings.

We wish our students every success on this journey. We are looking forward to the experience!
