Janene May, GML Heritage Consultant, Archaeologist, is a heritage specialist with over seven years’ experience in cultural heritage management and archaeology. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Archaeology from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Science from the University of New England.
Janene has led a range of heritage assessment and management projects within Australia and the United States. She is skilled at technical reporting, ArcGIS mapping and analysis, and fostering relationships with stakeholders, as well as leading archaeological fieldwork teams.
Prior to joining GML, Janene worked as an archaeologist for a confederation of Native American tribes, undertaking a variety of cultural resource management projects. She has also worked in private practice in NSW, providing historical and Aboriginal cultural heritage assessments, Aboriginal due diligence assessments and archival recordings.
