Dr Jo McDonald
Dr Jo McDonald, Director of Jo McDonald CHM Pty Ltd (JMcDCHM), has more than 27 years’ experience in cultural heritage management. Her experience includes more than 600 studies involving archaeological survey, site assessment, salvage and management. These studies have been at a variety of scales from small individual developments to large regional studies dealing with resource assessment, research and management planning.
While having spent most of her career as a consulting archaeologist, she also has a research position at the Australian National University and is a strong participant on a number professional archaeological associations and boards. She was recently a Principal Investigator on the ANU Canning Stock Route Project (Rock Art and Jukurrpa) and JMcDCHM was an Industry Partner on this Australian Research Council Linkage Project. Jo was awarded an ARC Future Fellowship in late 2010, which she commenced on 1 July 2011.
In 2011, Jo joined forces with GML Heritage as an ongoing business partnership to deliver a comprehensive Aboriginal Cultural Heritage service.
