Dr Tim Owen Featured on ABC’s 7.30

GML Principal, Dr Tim Owen has recently been featured in the media, commenting on the impact of the Shenhua Watermark Coalmine on Aboriginal cultural heritage values at Mount Watermark on the Liverpool Plains.

The decision to allow the coal mine and impact the Mount Watermark cultural landscape has greatly affected the Gomeroi people.

Tim appeared on ABC’s 7.30 and has been quoted in the Sydney Morning Herald and Brisbane Times about the mine.

GML contributed to the s10 application to seek protection of the site.
