Anna Leeson, Jury Member, Enduring Architecture Award

Anna Leeson is a jury member of the Enduring Architecture category, 2022 Australian Institute of Architects Awards, ACT.

Manning Clark House by Robin Boyd received the Sir Roy Grounds Award for Enduring Architecture at the 2022 Australian Institute of Architects Awards, ACT.

We are so pleased that GML Consultant, Anna Leeson, was a member of the jury for this category. The jury citation read:

Sixty-nine years after its completion Manning Clark House remains remarkably intact and embodies many design features which were innovative for its time, but are now accepted as sound design and sustainable features for modern houses’.

The Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) Awards Program recognises the innovative work of Australian architects. The Enduring Architecture Award recognises ‘Buildings of outstanding merit that, considered in a contemporary context, remain important as high quality works of architecture’. Members are not able to enter this category directly, and are considered by recommendation only to the relevant Jury at Chapter level. This is a prestigious award and only one building is recognised annually by each Chapter.

Congratulations to all involved.
